Description
What it is:
Salicylic Acid is an oil-soluble beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that penetrates pores to dissolve excess oil and dead skin cells. Widely used for acne, blackheads, and rough texture.

- Reduces redness and soothes inflammation.
- Smooths rough, bumpy skin (including keratosis pilaris).
Who it’s for:
- Oily and acne-prone skin.
- Skin with blackheads or whiteheads.
- Uneven or rough texture.
- Not recommended for very sensitive skin.
How to use:
- Usage rate: 0.5–2% in leave-on; up to 3% in rinse-off formulas.
- Works best in formulas with pH 3.0–4.0.
- Must be pre-dissolved in alcohol, glycol, or PEG before adding.
- Add during the cool-down phase (below 40°C).
- Always patch test before full use.
Storage & shelf life:
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Shelf life: 2 years unopened; use within 12 months once opened.
