What it is:
Urea (Cosmetic Grade) is a powerful humectant and keratolytic active. Naturally found in the skin’s Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF), it boosts hydration and softens rough skin. In cosmetic formulations, urea is valued for both its moisturizing and gentle exfoliating properties.

How to use:
- Usage rate: 2–10% for hydrating creams/lotions, 20–40% in keratolytic/foot care formulas.
- pH range: Stable at 4.0–8.0.
- Solubility: Water-soluble.
- Processing: Add to water phase (warm water aids dissolution). Avoid prolonged heating.
Storage & Shelf Life:
Hygroscopic — store in a cool, dry, tightly sealed container.
